Description

Dorothy E. Kosoff (1925–2003)

was a visionary artist and founder of the celebrated Le Petite Louve Art Gallery in Newport Beach, California. Over the course of her life, she completed approximately one hundred paintings, each reflecting her profound passion and unique perspective. After a courageous battle with cancer, she passed away on March 26, 2003, and now rests at Forest Lawn Mount Sinai Park in Hollywood Hills. Her enduring legacy continues to inspire art lovers and creators alike.

A rare and emotional masterpiece, this original oil painting captures the bittersweet beauty of performance. The clown’s soft smile and double tears strike a powerful contrast of joy and pain frozen in time. It’s vulnerable. It’s bold. It’s unforgettable.

Framed in a richly ornate vintage frame, every detail whispers nostalgia, melancholy, and luxury. This is more than art, it’s a mirror into the soul of anyone who’s ever had to smile through the storm.
